We recommend the approach based on your objective, your timeline, and what the data needs to drive.

How is confidentiality handled in the Chorus survey?

Chorus is administered independently by HCMNext, not by your internal HR team, and individual responses are never shared with your organisation. Results are reported at team or cohort level with a minimum response threshold to prevent anyone being identified. That independence is what makes people answer honestly.

How long does the Chorus survey take to complete?

The standard Chorus survey takes 10–15 minutes to complete. Configured versions may run slightly longer. The survey is online and mobile-friendly, so participants can complete it at a time that suits them.

Most organisations run a full engagement survey annually, with a shorter pulse at the six-month mark. HCMNext deploys Chorus on that rhythm for most clients. Running one more frequently tends to produce survey fatigue and diminishing returns, unless you are mid-way through a change programme and need to track sentiment closely. The more important question is not frequency but whether anything visibly changes between cycles — engagement measurement loses credibility quickly when people see no action follow.
